Reciprocal Symmetric Algebra and Correspondence between Relativistic and Quantum Mechanical Concepts

Abstract |
We have shown that Planck's hypothesis (which sets a lower limit) is reciprocally related to Einstein's postulate (which sets an upper limit). We have postulated that numbers and their reciprocals are equally valid representations of the same physical quantity. We have developed generalized algebraic operations (addition and multiplication) which include both numbers and their reciprocals. Addition in number representation gives the Einstein's law of addition of velocities; in reciprocal representation, it gives the law of addition of tachyons. |

Reciprocal Correspondence between Relativistic and Quantum Mechanical Concepts and Continuous and Descrete Description of the Same Motion

Abstract |
We have postulated reciprocal symmetric sum of velocities, which remains invariant if velocities are replaced by their reciprocals. Einstein's law of addition of velocities is reciprocal symmetric. Velocities and their reciprocals (like de Broglie wave velocity)relate relativistic quantities to their corresponding quantum mechanical quantities. Direct velocities give distance with continuous time while reciprocal velocities give distances for discrete time. |
