Title

Spectral and Shock Signatures of Two Component Accretion Flows Around Black Holes in Presence of Comptonization.
Co-authors

Abstract

We study the spectral and shock behavior self-consistently for a general class of steady state accretion disks where both the hydrodynamics and the radiative transfer are coupled together. We consider a two-component accretion flow in which the Keplerian disk is immersed inside an accreting low angular momentum flow (halo) around a black hole. The injected soft photons from the Keplerian disk are reprocessed by the electrons in the halo. We show how the parameter space behavior changes in presence of Compton cooling as well as the shift in shock location. We solve two-temperature equation in the post shock region with Coulomb energy exchange between protons and electrons, and incorporating radiative processes such as bremsstrahlung and Comptonization. We also solve the hydrodynamic equations and modified Rankine-Hugoniot shock conditions to calculate the shock location and parametric space. We find the variation of the spectral index and shock location with accretion rate along with corresponding spectra.
