Title

Torsion and Inflation
Co-authors

Abstract

The presence of particle horizons in FRW – cosmology represents one of their problems facing FRW – world models. Inflation is a scenario suggested to solve some of the problems. The aim of the present work is to investigate the effect of the torsion, of space-time, on the horizon problem. For this aim the field equations of General theory of Relativity are written in a space with non - vanishing torsion. A geometric structure satisfying the cosmological principle, giving rise to the FRW – metric, is used to evaluate the torsion and its trace. It is shown that the existence of torsion prevents the formation of particle horizons in natural and simple way.
