Abstract |
We aim to give a consistent description of the quantum-to-classical transition of primordial perturbations through the de Broglie-Bohm quantum theory. This is an alternative to the usual account which suffers from important conceptual issues, such as the measurement problem and the need of observers. We show that the classical limit for the fluctuations is easily achieved, without any further assumptions that would require some kind of new physics. This description is applied to the standard inflationary scenario and also to a specific bouncing model, in which the bounce is caused by quantum gravity effects. |
