Semidegenerate Self-gravitating system of fermion as Dark Matter on galaxies I: Universality laws | |||||

Abstract |
We propose a model of self-gravitating fermions in general relativity to de- scribe the dark matter (DM) halos and the central objects in galaxies. We obtain a universal density profile composed by a flat core for small radii and a plateau and a tail that is inversely proportional to the square of the radius for the halo region. We fit the free parameters of the model using galactic observables such as the constant rotation velocity, the mass of the central object and the halo radius, concluding that the particle mass should be tens of keV. We also show that our model is in agreement with the universality laws recently proposed by Gentile et. al. and Boyarski et. al and we compare our model with other profiles commonly used in the literature. |
