Abstract |
Knowing from general relativity, matter can build geometry (space-time), and geometry can generate matter fields. Since space-time is merely gravitational fields, and in language of loop quantum gravity, 3d and 4d space-time can be constructed by 3d and 4d spin foam models respectively; one can consider a reverse form of Kaluza-Klein like approach for a 3d spin foam model. This approach can be applied to a Ponzanoo-Regge model based on group field theory, and add some non-gravitational fields to its action in an orderly fashion. If one add infinite number of fields to this action, a 4d model can be constructed. Thus one can propose a mechanism for construction of new dimensions from non-gravitational fields and generation of matter fields from pure gravity. |
