Magnetism in Compact Ultra Dense Objects | |||||

Abstract |
In this talk I review some of the main ï¬ndings obtained on the topic of magnetism in ultra-dense and cold quark matter with a color superconducting ground state. The physical characteristics of the different phases that are reached by increasing the applied magnetic ï¬eld in a three-ï¬avor color superconductor at asymptotically high densities are discussed. A mechanism to boost a seed magnetic ï¬eld in high-dense quark matter is presented. Also, we introduce the EoS of such a system. Possible implications of these results for the astrophysics of magnetized compact objects are indicated. |
