Title

A metric approach through mass-length/acceleration scales
Co-authors

Abstract

In this talk I will explain the advantages obtained by denying the existence of mysterious dark entities using as a basis the existence of a new fundamental physical acceleration constant, the so called Milgrom's acceleration constant. With this, a natural metric extension to the theories of Newton and Einstein can be built. At the non-relativistic level I will explain how this theory of gravity can account for observations at the solar system, galaxies, globular clusters, and dwarf galaxies. I will also show how the concepts of Jeans equilibrium, fundamental plane of elliptical galaxies, Tully-Fisher relation and the equivalent relations in dwarf spheroidal galaxies are the same physical concept applied to different systems of mass and size. At the relativistic level I will show the excellent agreement with gravitational lensing at galactic level and I will describe a cosmological model using this extended theory of gravity.
