Title |
Measuring the distribution of Matter, Momentum and Pressure in the Universe: CMB as a Backlight | |||||
Co-authors | ||||||||
Abstract |
Cosmic microwave background photons propagating from the surface of last scatter to our telescopes are affected by the intervening matter. Thus, small-scale CMB observations can provide measurements of the large scale distribution of matte(through the gravitational lensing of the CMB), pressure (through the thermal Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect) and momentum (through the kinematic thermal Sunyaev Zeldocvich effect). I will describe recent results from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope and discuss how upcoming observations. |
