Bayesian Pertubation Theory: Cosmography of the LSS | |||||

Abstract |
I present a Large-Scale Structure reconstruction method which is based on self-consistently sampling the initial fluctuations which are compatible with the observed galaxy distribution and a structure formation model given by second order Lagrangian perturbation theory (2LPT) using Bayesian Networks Machine Learning. I discuss the accuracy of 2LPT to model peculiar velocities from estimates of the linear component of the gravitationally evolved density field and how to use them to correct for redshift space distortions. Finally I present a cosmography analysis of the Local Universe based on the recently released Two-Micron All-Sky Redshift Survey (2MRS+). The resulting estimates of the density and peculiar velocity field characterize the local cosmic structure with high accuracy. |
