Abstract |
In this talk Ill give an overview of the Planck mission in the light of the recent 2015 data release. After a description of the mission and the instrumental performance, Ill describe the accuracy of the calibration and of the data processing needed to derive unbiased cosmological results. Finally, I will show a few examples of how the outstanding quality of the Planck data coupled to the tight control of systematic effects, allows one to probe for fundamental physics results that are beyond what originally planned for the mission. |
