Title

Computing inspirals with self-force data
Coauthors Thomas Osburn, Charles Evans and Seth Hopper

Abstract

We compute the motion of a compact body inspiraling into a Schwarzschild black hole for inspirals that are initially highly eccentric. In our calculation we go beyond leading-order flux models and include the local self-force when evolving the inspiral. The self-force data that goes into our model is constructed using a hybrid scheme whereby the orbit averaged fluxes are computed using a high-accuracy Regge-Wheeler-Zerilli code and (local) oscillatory part of the self-force is constructed with a new Lorenz-gauge code. We interpolate over 10000 geodesic self-force values across the astrophysically relevant parameter space ranging from 0<=e<=0.73 and 6+2e<p<=50. We assess the effect of conservative self-force to the inspiral phase.
