Abstract |
We discuss the role of many-body forces in the description of the equation of state of neutron stars in the framework of a relativistic QHD mean field Lagrangian density approach with parametrized couplings. The Lagrangian model of our approach contains genuine many body nuclear interactions involving couplings of the fundamental baryon octet with meson fields as well as mesonic self-coupling contributions. Our results indicate that many-body forces can play an important role in the description of the mass-radius relation of neutron stars. |
