Abstract |
A gauge and diffeomorphism invariant formulation for general relativity with either a vanishing or a nonvanishing cosmological constant is presented. The fundamental variables of this formulation are a gauge connection and a complex-valued 4-form. Considering a vanishing cosmological constant, we find that this action leads to a new action principle for general relativity which is a modification of the Capovilla-Dell-Jacobson (CDJ) formulation. Whereas, when a nonvanishing cosmological is considered, it can be reduced to the Krasnov's formulation. |
