Abstract |
We consider Soft Gamma-ray repeaters (SGRs) and Anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs) within the model of highly magnetized massive rapidly rotating white dwarfs. We address the consequences for the radius, mass, moment of inertia, magnetic field and pulsar death-lines of these objects considering the braking model of a magnetic rotating dipole in vacuum as well as in the case where the contribution of a particle wind to the spin-down is accounted for. |
