Abstract |
Coadjoint orbits of a given Lie group are symplectic manifolds over which geometrical actions can be naturally constructed. The Hamiltonian formulation for these actions is studied and geometrical actions on coadjoint orbits for the Virasoro and the BMS3 group are analyzed, leading to two-dimensional dual field theories for asymptotically AdS and asymptotically flat three-dimensional gravity respectively. |
