Abstract |
Relativistic jets drilling the mantel of massive stars and breaking out of their surfaces are potential candidates to explain how long gamma-ray bursts are produced. Provided the complex, non-linear nature of the jet/medium evolution, a suitable numerical modeling by means of special relativistic hydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamic simulations is needed to tackle the study of the aforementioned interaction. In this contribution, I will focus on how the thermal emission detected from X-rays to infrared bands is originated in the subclass of black-body dominated gamma-ray bursts. |
