Title |
Geodesics of the AdS Myers Perry black hole with equal angular momenta
Coauthors | ||||||||
Abstract |
I will discuss the geodesic structure of the 5 dimensional AdS Myers-Perry black hole by constructing conserved charges related to the spatial isometry of the solution. The isometry group of this background is enhanced to SU(2)xU(1), compared to the case of unequal rotations, whose isometry is U(1)xU(1). I will give a geometrical view of the angular motion and discuss the constant radius orbits of massive and massless particles. In particular, it turns out that there are stable circular orbits in AdS, while this is not the case without a cosmological constant, |

Title |
Van der Waals black holes
Coauthors | ||||||||
Abstract |
In this talk I will describe an exact black hole solution whose thermodyamical properties are those of the van der Waals fluids. These black holes are discussed for arbitrary number of dimensions and various horizon geometries. These black holes live in AdS space, and the cosmological constant is treated as a pressure, in the so-called extended phase space. I will discuss the properties of the effective source of these holes, as well as the energy condition of the latter. I will make contact contact between the parameters of the van der Waals equation of state and the usual Tangherlini Black hole or the planar black hole. |
