Coherent States in Minisuperspaces

Abstract |
I will present a quantization scheme based on coherent states for study of singularity resolution in spatially homogeneous models. The method has the advantage of comprising a natural semiclassical description and it has already been successfully applied to FRW, Bianchi I and Bianchi IX. I will describe these results and indicate future directions of development. Based on arXiv:1501.07871, arXiv:1501.07718, and Phys. Rev. D 89, 083522 (2014). |

Time/Physical Hilbert Space Issue in Quantum Gravity
Coauthors | ||||||||
Abstract |
We investigate the extent to which the free choice of clock in quantum descriptions of gravitational systems, based on physical Hilbert spaces, determines its quantum dynamics. We develop our method by making use of the Hamilton-Jacobi theory, which is extended to include time coordinate transformations. Next, we apply it to a quantum model of the Friedman universe and compute some time-induced deviations to semiclassical curves. We fix a quantization and find the abundance of possible semiclassical extensions to general relativity exclusively from variations of clock variable. |
