Abstract |
We investigate a propagation of magnetized, isolated old neutron stars through the nonuniform interstellar medium. We performed axisymmetric, non-relativistic MHD simulations of the supersonic motion of neutron star with dipole magnetic field aligned with its velocity through the nonuniform clouds. We study an interaction of magnetosphere of the neutron star with a matter of the ISM. We study geometry of the plasma flow and formation of hollow elongated magnetotail. We study a dependence of magnetotail on different parameters, such as velocity of the star, magnetic moment of the star and of the ISM density. |
