Measurements of Degree-Scale B-mode Polarization with BICEP2, Keck Array, and BICEP3 | |||||

Abstract |
BICEP2, the Keck Array, and BICEP3 are a series of small-aperture microwave polarimeters that have been observing from the South Pole since 2010 with the goal of detecting the signature of gravitational waves from inflation. In 2014, BICEP2 reported the first detection of B-mode polarization at degree angular scales. A subsequent joint analysis using data from BICEP2, Keck Array, and Planck revealed that the most or all of this signal is due to Galactic dust emission. I will discuss the results of the joint analysis, new data at 95 and 220 GHz from Keck Array and BICEP3, and prospects for improving our understanding of the observed B-mode signal. |
