Testing New Physics With Polarized Light: Cosmological Birefringence. | |||||

Abstract |
In this talk I will discuss recent constraints on cosmological birefringence - rotation of the plane of linear polarization - for photos coming from astrophysical and cosmological sources (CMB, Radio Galaxies, Radio Sources, Crab Nebula, Gamma-ray Bursts). I will estimate limits for several models and discuss the relative constraining power among our dataset for each theoretical model. Based on a work with Giulia Gubitosi, Francesco Paci and Fabio Finelli ("Cosmological birefringence constraints from CMB and astrophysical polarization data," arXiv:1411.6287 [astro-ph.CO]). |
