Title |
Structure And Stability For Realistic Rapidly Rotating NS: Full GR Treatment | |||||
Coauthors | ||||||||
Abstract |
I will present a full general relativistic treatment for the problem of equilibrium of rapidly rotating realistic Neutron Stars, taking into account some peculiar limits to define a "stability region" in which numerical models exists. I will focus on three realistic Equations of State, showing how this kind of problem is approached and some numerical results describing the structure of such compact objects. I will also discuss characteristics of spacetime external to the NS (e.g. quadrupole mass moment) and universal (EOS-independent) relations. |
