Collapsar Simulations as A Central Engine of Gamma-Ray Bursts

Abstract

We would like to introduce our simulations of Collapsars as central engine of long gamma-ray bursts. We used 2D/3D General Relativistic MHD codes with a fixed, Kerr Metric. We would like to show how a strong jet is launched from a rotating black hole due to Blandford-Znajek Effects. Also, we would like to present our current project to perform 3-dimensional collapsar simulations by using the Whisky Code and the Einstein Equation Solver of the "Einstein Toolkit". If we still have time, we are happy to show a 3D, successful explosion model for core-collapse supernovae using K-Computer of our Institute (RIKEN, Japan) that is one of the fastest super-computer in the world.
