On origin of a logarithmic correction to the Newton’s law in the presence of a homogeneous gas of wormholes

Abstract

It is shown that the polarization of a homogeneous gas of wormholes in an external gravitational field possesses a spatial dispersion, which results in a modification of the Newton’s law. The dispersion can be interpreted as a scale-dependent renormalization of the gravitational constant. We show that the dependence on scales is determined by the distribution of wormholes on the distance between ends of wormhole throats. The observed (by means of rotation curves in galaxies) logarithmic correction evidences that the above distribution has fractal properties. We briefly discus the possibility of the restoring the above distribution from observations (i.e., from the distribution of dark matter).
