Relativistic EoS with the Quark-Meson-Coupling model |
Abstract |
The Equation of State (EoS) of nuclear matter as a result of the models can be used as an input of Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equations, and thereof values of masses and radii of compact stars can be calculated. The main point of this work is to obtain the EoS of nuclear matter within the Quark-Meson-Coupling (QMC) model. Hadronic matter properties are then obtained from quark degrees of freedom. The QMC EoS are used as input to find both saturated matter properties and the mass versus radius relation of stars. The maximum stellar masses expected for different radii can be obtained from numerical integration of the TOV equations. |
