Abstract |
We shown that black strings in Gauss-Bonnet theory are unstable under long wavelength perturbations along the extended direction. In dimensions greater than six, these solutions may correspond to the short distance behavior of the black strings in the full Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory, which is not known in a closed form. |
