On Applications of Chebyshev Polynomials |

Abstract |
Chebyshev polynomials are considered to be important tool not only for fitting satellite laser ranging data but also in other important applications. So, in this paper, the general properties of Chebyshev polynomials of third and fourth kind, which are orthogonal with respect to the weight functions and on [-1, 1] are represented. Also, in terms of Chebyshev polynomials of third and fourth kind and considering that is an arbitrary polynomial of degree n and denotes a constant weighting factor, what distinguishes these two sequences from other orthogonal polynomials is to satisfy a semi minimax property that has application in approximating the functions of type . |
