Noether's Theorem and Non-Vanishing Torsion

Abstract

The Noether’s Theorem in the context of Einstein–Cartan theory in d = 4 is revisited. In particular, the influence of non-vanishing torsion, the spin tensor and an Euler-density regularizating term [1] in the lagrangian is studied. An interesting consequence is that the Einstein’s stress-energy tensor and Noether’s stress-energy tensor coincide only in some circunstances. References [1] R. Aros, M. Contreras, R. Olea, R.
