Black Holes as QCD Labs

Abstract

The strong gravity regimes in the proximity of black holes and neutron stars dramatically affect the physics of strongly coupled systems. I will discuss some of the phenomenological consequences occurring to a chiral condensate under the effects of a non-negligible gravitational field. The spacetime curvature induces a mass gap for the Dirac fermions, introducing a novel form of geometrically driven magnetic catalysis, unknown up to date.
