Reionization Study using GRBs |

Abstract |
I will review on the use of GRBs to get information for cosmic reionization, with special emphasis on the Ly alpha damping wing analysis. Recent data, especially GRB 130606A, are amazingly high in singnal-to-noise, making it possible a very high precision damping wing analysis to constrain the IGM neutral fraction. However, because of this high precision, we need to be careful for systematic uncertainties, and indeed, different groups arrived at different conclusions using the same GRB 130606A. I will examine the difference between the analysis methods and try to reveal the origin of discrepant results, and discuss future prospects for this direction. |
