Experimental tests of modified gravity with binary systems: the Lorentz violating case

Abstract

I will summarize how binary systems can be used to put very strong constraints on theories of modified gravity. To illustrate it I'll focus in the case of Lorentz violating theories (Einstein-aether and Horava gravity) and compare the bounds with those coming from Solar system and cosmological observations.
