Casual-set Theory, Non-locality and Possible Phenomenology |

Abstract |
In this talk I will discuss the non-locality characterizing the propagation of massless fields on causal sets, thought of like a semiclassical discrete substratum. After introducing a family of non-local wave operators of interest I will discuss some of their classical properties as well as an attempt at quantizing such a free scalar theory. I will conclude with some work in progress ideas on how to test some aspect of this kind of non-locality phenomenologically. |
