(Rainbow) metrics and observers in the Relative Locality framework

Abstract

It is well known in literature that some models of spacetime quantization open up the way to the possibility that spacetime symmetries (and in particular Lorentz ones) may be deformed at Planck scale. In the last decade a rich phenomenology raised from this spacetime symmetries deformation scenario, but many aspects of its physical formalization were still unclear. More recently numerous efforts have been spent in order to better formalize this theoretical picture, its consequences, and its effects on physical observables, which led to the so called Relative Locality framework. In this framework have found their place many quantum-gravity features that, in previous works, had been introduced only from the phenomenological point of view, like Rainbow Metrics and momentum-dependent particle velocity. In this talk I would like to show a broad picture of the results so far obtained and the still unresolved issues that this approach to the quantum-gravity problem presents.
