Lensing Imprints from Strong to Weak: Probing Black Hole, Dark Matter Substructure and Alternative Gravity Theory

Abstract

This talk will cover a few important applications of gravitational lensing in the strong and the weak regime, explaining how the lensing phenomenon can help us to probe black hole, dark matter substructure and alternative gravity theory. In the strong lensing regime, observations of flux-ratio anomaly and gravitational imaging are two powerful tools to constrain compact objects, such as black holes and extended objects, such as dark matter substructures, respectively. In the weak lensing regime, lensing imprints in galaxy clusters can be equally well explained by Emergent gravity.
