Title

Ultrahigh Stable Light Sources For DECIGO
Coauthors

Abstract

For the light source of the space gravitational wave detector, DECIGO, we have developed space-borne highly-stable high power lasers. The frequency of fiber DFB laser with the wavelength of 1030 nm is stabilized in reference to the saturated absorption of iodine molecules at 515 nm. Two breadbord models of the frequency-stabilized lasers have been developed which are installed on the 550x300 mm aluminum plates, and the frequency noise of the lasers are suppressed down to 20 Hz/rtHz at 1 Hz. The Intensity noise of the light sources has been also stabilized down to 5x10^-8 /rtHz at 1 Hz by controlling pump power for the fiber amplifier. As the light source for DECIGO, not only stability but also high out power up to 10 W at the wavelength of 515 nm is also required to reduce shot-noise limited level of the interferometer. Now we have increased the output power of the green light with keeping its stability by combination with the fiber amplifier, the high-efficient second harmonics generation and the coherent addition technique.
