Title

Analog Rotating Black Holes in a Magnetohydrodynamic Inflow
Coauthors

Abstract

To apply the acoustic black hole to some astrophysical phenomena in which the magnetic fields are important, we generalize it to the magnetohydrodynamics case. As a result, we found that the analog metric for the fast and slow modes of MHD waves is given as a Finsler metric which is non-Riemannian metric, and it reduces to two Riemannian metrics in the limit of magnetic pressure-dominated and gas pressure-dominated cases. Moreover, considering a two-dimensional trans-sonic inflow, we found that the analog geometry for MHD waves can be classified into three types: analog spacetimes of rotating black holes, ultra-spinning stars with ergoregions, and spinning stars without ergoregions.
