Title

A Regular Black Hole In Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity
Coauthors

Abstract

It has been claimed that singularities may be unphysical, created by the classical theories of gravity, and so may not exist in the universe. We demonstrate that the five-dimensional Boulware-Deser spacetime in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity is nonsingular. We show that the Kretschmann scalar is finite, positive and does not diverge at the origin implying that collapse terminates in the formation of a regular black hole. This is presented graphically.
