Abstract |
Measurements of the fine structure constant at high redshift have been time consuming and prone to systematic uncertainties that require considerable effort to quantify. I will describe new methods using a genetic algorithm that fully automate the analysis and produce more robust results. I will report on a new large survey, based on these new techniques, currently in progress, aimed at making the first 1000 measurements of alpha at high redshift. |
