Rigidly-Rotating Quantum Thermal States in Bounded Systems

Abstract

In quantum field theory, the choice of boundary conditions must be made such that the time-independence of the inner product and the charge conjugation symmetry are preserved. In this contribution, the emergent effects of boundary conditions on finite-tempeture rigidly-rotating equilibrium states is discussed in the context of the bounded Klein-Gordon and Dirac fields. Quantum corrections are discussed relative to the equivalent classical relativistic kinetic theory system by employing the Landau decomposition of the stress-energy tensor.
