Latest IceCube Results in Neutrino Astronomy and Future Perspectives |
Abstract |
Embedded in the glacier at the South Pole, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory uses one cubic kilometer of instrumented ice to detect neutrinos. IceCube has discovered a diffuse flux of astrophysical neutrinos that is observed to extend to energies beyond a PeV, but its origins remain unknown. In this talk, I will review recent results characterizing this flux, searches to identify its sources, and an outlook on future prospects. |
