Causal geodesics on the rotation axis of a Kerr-de Sitter black hole

Abstract

We study the behavior of causal geodesics lying on the rotation axis of a Kerr-de Sitter black hole. We find that geodesics injected from the asymptotic de Sitter region either pass through the ring singularity to the other asymptotic de Sitter region or scatter of to other asymptotic regions. The structure of the effective potential describing such geodesics, shows the repulsive nature of the Kerr-de Sitter ring. The shape of this potential is determined and depends upon the cosmological constant the mass and rotation parameters of the black hole.
