Talk Title

Fermi heritage after 9 years of public data

Abstract

Fermi LAT data are public since 9 years and some of the main results come from scientist not belonging to the LAT collaboration. The huge work of the LAT team in releasing excellent data and stable software to the whole community has been awarded with more Rossi Prizes than ever for a single mission. This has not prevented the LAT team to still be considered as a reference for the most challenging analysis in the most difficult areas of the sky. Furthermore, the synergy with other mission with similar public data policy has allowed Fermi to be a key experiment in the most recent milestones of physics and astrophysics.
