Talk Title

Gravitational lensing of fermionic matter distributions modelled by the Einstein-Dirac equations

Abstract

Fermions stars are hypothetical astrophysical objects composed of fermion particles which could formally be described by a spinor field coupled minimally to gravity. Based on solitonic solutions of the Einstein-Dirac system determined in the work of F.Finster, J.Smoller and S.Yau [Particlelike solutions of the Einstein-Dirac equations, Phys. Rev. D 59, 104020, 1999] we investigate the gravitational lensing features for a spherically symmetric and static spacetime. Furthermore we compare our results with lensing of boson stars modelled by the Einstein-Klein-Gordon system.
