A Linear Equation Of State For Trapped Gravitons, Logarithmic Corrections To The Black Hole Entropy And The Dark Energy.

Abstract

In this talk I present recent results concerning the statistical description of the Black Hole entropy in terms of trapped gravitons. In particular, I present a theorem depicting a possible physical mechanism, from finite size effects induced by Planckian fluctuations, giving trapped gravitons with a linear equation of state. As a consequence, logarithmic corrections to the Black Hole entropy naturally arise. Finally, it is also shown that such a mechanism allows a statistical description of macroscopic configurations made of cosmological constant in terms of massless excitations within a spherical box.
