Abstract |
I will discuss the theoretical implications of the multi-messenger, multi-wavelength data of the first NS-NS merger event GW170817/GRB 170817A/AT2017gfo/afterglow, including the origin of GRB prompt emission, the 1.7s-delay between the GRB and the merger, the mechanisms of energy injection in the afterglow phase, the origin of the two-component kilonova emission, as well as a possible long-lived central engine in the remnant of the merger. |
