Talk Title

Deconfinement Transition Inside Neutron Stars Mediated by An External Dark Agent

Abstract

Current understanding of our Universe involves the existence of a majority of the so-called dark matter. In this talk I will explain the mechanism that could lead to a deconfined quark phase in the interior of a massive neutron star driven by a gravitationally accreted dark sector. Briefly, using a bag model one can aim to describe the dense hadronic system, the microscopic quark-bubble nucleation process and energetics of such a transitioning system. Possible consequences are also discussed
