Talk Title

Braneworld Scenarios Constrained by Configurational Entropy

Abstract

Braneworld scenarios are widely investigated in the search of a unified theory of fundamental forces through a symmetry breaking procedure. Such scenarios gained special attention after the proposition by Randall and Sundrum showing that they may also explain the hierarchy problem. This talk will adress the use of configurational entropy (CE) as a tool to select the most probable physical system among braneworld scenarios described by a parameter-dependent warp factor. Amongst the results, it is shown that high CE is correlated to dynamically unstable solutions.
