GW sources in the middle frequency

Abstract

We will overview the current understanding and theoretical expectations for GW source in the middle frequency range (~0.1-10 Hz). GW observation in the middle frequency range would shed lights on the black hole gr owth and possibly the birth environment of black holes. Furthermore, GW observation in the middle frequency range, if possible, can improve the measurement errors for source properties significantly thanks to the longer signal duration in this frequency range. Focusing on the parameter space of GW frequency and signal strength, we will discuss the source population, relevant astrophysics of the sources, and finally what synergy can be expected between the middle frequency and the well-established 'audio-band' GW observation by km-scale laser interferometers.
