HADRON-QUARK PHASE TRANSITION AND THE QCD PHASE DIAGRAM

Abstract

Different extensions of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, known to satisfy expected QCD chiral symmetry aspects, are used to investigate a possible hadron-quark phase transition at zero temperature. The SU(2)version of the model is used for the quark phase and an extended version, known as eNJL, which accounts for nuclear matter saturation properties, is used for the hadronic phase. Whenever possible, the binodal section is obtained and plotted.
